🎯AMC ENTRY TEST FOR MEDICAL CADETS (MC)
☆ Only Boys can Apply for Medical Cadets (MC)
☆ MCs are military cadets who got commissioned in the PAK Army as captain doctors after the completion of MBBS/BDS there is no annual or semester fee for MCs. For eligibility criteria and more details, visit www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk
☆To apply for MC, you must register online at joinpakarmy.gov.pk or visit the Army Selection Center.
The registration starts every year in June/July. Last year, registration started from 26th June to 21st July 2024.
☆There will be a computerized Initial AMC Test, an initial medical test, and a Physical Test. After the initial procedure selected candidates will receive ISSB Call Latter for personality tests and Interviews.
☆ All Male students can apply For Medical Cadets (MC) civilian as well as Armed Forces Families.
🎯 NUMS CADETS (NC)
☆ NUMS Cadets are civilian cadets at Army Medical College (AMC) Rawalpindi. They don’t get a commission directly after MBBS/BDS.
Admission as a Civilian (NUMS Entry Test)
- Open for all students from across Pakistan.
- Students must appear in the NUMS MDCAT, which is conducted by the National University of Medical Sciences.
- Seats are limited and competition is very high.
Pattern of MDCAT (NUMS):
a. MDCAT NUMS shall comprise two components:
(1) PART ‘A’ (95% weightage)
(a) Shall consist of 150 ‘One Best Option Type’ Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with a stipulated time
of 150 minutes with the following breakdown:
i. Biology – 35%
ii. Chemistry – 25%
iii. Physics – 25%
iv. English – 10%
(2) PART ‘B’ Psychological Test (5% weightage)
(a) Shall consist of 100 ‘One Best Option Type’ Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with a stipulated time of 30 minutes.
b. There shall be no negative marking
If NUMS Cadets (NC) want to join the Pak Army as a captain doctor. They can join the PAK Army through GDMO and GDDO courses after completing their MBBS.

☆ NUMS MDCAT TEST registration last year was open from 20 June to 10 July 2024 with a regular fee.

Step-by-step process for admission in AMC as a Nums Cadet (NC):
-> #1st appears in the NUMS Entry Test 2024 which Was held on the 1st of September 2024,

Merit Calculation for AMC (Civilian Route)
NUMS follows this formula for merit calculation:
- Matric/O-Levels: 10%
- FSc Pre-Medical / A-Levels: 40%
- NUMS MDCAT: 50%

-> PC students are also like MC, But the only difference is that PCs have to pay fees during MBBS/BDS at AMC.
-> MC doesn’t pay any fee while the annual fee for Paying Cadet is less than NUMS Cadet (NC) (Almost half of the NC fee).
-> PC also gets a commission in PAK Army like MC after the completion of MBBS/BDS in AMC Rawalpindi.
-> If a candidate from the Armed Forces Family wants to apply for a PC seat then,
-> #1st Apply for the NUMS Entry Test after the announcement of the NUMS Result.
-> #2nd get the “PC form” from GHQ, NHQ, AHQ from the concerned department, fill that form, and send it back to GHQ, AHQ, NHQ depending upon your guardian’s belongings Force.
